A beautifully balanced example from Chiswell’s sought-after Koben range, crafted in the late 1960s. This generous sideboard features four panelled doors and three drawers, each framed in solid blackwood with a raised lip that highlights the uniform golden teak across the fronts.

The first two cupboards open individually, while the third and fourth share a single compartment. All cupboards include adjustable shelving, providing versatile storage for records, tall books, or larger household items. The top drawer houses a green felt-lined cutlery tray, thoughtfully designed with stacked compartments.

The piece has been gently refinished in a durable hard-wax oil, enhancing the depth of the timber while preserving its original character. A faint shadow from a potplant remains on the top surface, a subtle reminder of its well-loved history.

Overall, this sideboard presents with warmth, depth, and a glowing patina, embodying both the elegance and functionality of mid-century Australian design.
