Writing desk produced by Parker Furniture, Australia c.1960s.

Recognised for the distinctive circular “catseye” drawer pulls, a defining detail of Parker’s mid-century cabinetry.

The desk features a single pedestal with two drawers set beneath a generous writing surface, supported by slim tapered legs that keep the form light and balanced.

Crafted in teak with a solid blackwood frame, showing warm tone and beautiful grain through the timber.

Restored. A small number of chips to the top drawer have been carefully repaired with veneer grafts. There is some minor evidence of this on close inspection but it does not detract from the overall presentation of the piece.

Photographed here with a Kai Kristiansen Model 42 chair, also available.
