Parker Nordic 'Catseye' Sideboard, Australia, c.1960s

One of Parker's most sought-after designs, this 'Catseye' sideboard is a beautiful example of Australian mid-century craftsmanship.

This piece is in exceptional vintage condition and has developed a deep, rich patina over the past 60 years. It was part of my own personal collection and is one of the nicest examples of this model I've come across. The teak veneer, cut from old-growth forests, has incredible figuring and depth that is difficult to find today.

We've carefully cleaned the piece and refreshed the finish with Odie's Oil to nourish and protect the timber while preserving its original character. There are a few minor bumps and light surface scratches consistent with age and use, but nothing that detracts from its overall presentation.

The original blue felt-lined cutlery and glassware drawer is in excellent condition, a lovely detail that has survived remarkably well.

A timeless piece that showcases Parker at its very best. Beautifully proportioned, exceptionally well made, and increasingly difficult to find in this condition.
